And The Violins Played…

The violin’s four strings –
Are like that of a quartet
With each musician carrying
A different melody and, in the
End, come into – perfect harmony.

The First and foremost string, E.
Sounds reminiscent of a pitch so high
Even when the highest note played,
Heaven could not reach…

 The latter string, A.
The tonic of them all.
It’s sound is like the waves of water,
Slick, silky, and sleek.

 The distinguished D string.
Its legato carries through
The halls of the grand concert hall.
The bow, its friend tends
To always fall right back on it.

The deep, strong G string.
 The dominant of them all.
Heard if only through a small
 Key hole; its rich sound
Would still ring on.
