The game started to be played aggressively since the start, however, the "Lady Bugs" players dominated the game from the kick off. A Monarchs' player broke away at the first minute and fired a shot but, Wendy saved it, it was a high kick which was contained by our goalie. Bethany answered with a run on the left side of the field, and after dribbling a couple of defenders scored the "Lady Bugs" first goal right after the first minute. The Monarchs players were also determined to equalize the game, however, they found a great defense composed by Linette, Briana and Rebecca who provided the coverage of the "Lady Bugs" area. A series of shots were fired against the Monarchs' goalie. Erin took several shots at goal. At the 7th minute, Erin did a great tackle and stole the ball from a defender. At the 8th minute, Bethany shot on goal which hit the post. The "Lady Bugs" players passed the ball among themselves.

The "Lady Bugs" players continue with the attack, which was rewarded with a second goal at the 14th minute. Sarah D took the ball and passed it to Erin who fired a shot to the left side of the goalie getting the "Lady Bugs" ahead in the game by 2-0. At the 20th minute, Sarah D got the ball and dribbled near the Monarchs penalty area, then passed the ball to Erin, who after receiving the bouncing ball fired a shot over the goalie scoring a nice goal, however, the referee determined that Erin was in an offside position and voided the goal. For this game, Vanessa was the captain of The "Lady Bugs" team and played with a determination to do her best. Her efforts were rewarded at the 22th minute when she got the ball from a rebound, driving a straight shot at goal, scoring the third goal for the "Lady Bugs", moving the score to 3-0. This was her first personal goal of the season.

The second half followed the same pattern, with the "Lady Bugs" attacking constantly. Taylour dribbled the ball breaking away from 4 Monarchs defenders, in a small area of play. Wendy continued with great saves during the first 5 minutes into the second half, then she became an spectator as the Monarchs players did not generate more shots at goal. Kellie again played a nice game, stopping and trapping the ball creating some dribbling moves which helped the "Lady Bugs" attack. Casey was solid covering the right side of the "Lady Bugs" defending area. Lindsay run fast as usual and fought several balls on the right side of the Monarchs penalty area. Rebecca played solid midfield in the second half, she ventured to dribble in several opportunities.

The "Lady Bugs" players continued to play aggressively trying to increase the score. Casey, Kellie and Lindsay contained the Monarchs attack at midfield and did not allow the ball to cross over the "Lady Bugs" territory. Near the 8th minute, Kellie received the ball from Casey at the right side of the field, then Kellie crossed it to Bethany who run forward dribbling three Monarch defenders and placing the ball to the right side of the goalie, scoring the fourth goal for the "Lady Bugs". Rebecca, Briana and Linette have played and awesome defense in each game. This is remarkable since to date with Wendy as goalie, our defenders have allowed only 3 goals in 7 games. Way to go "Lady Bugs" defenders.

Even though the "Lady Bugs" was ahead by 4-0, they did not stop from moving forward and creating more scoring opportunities. Sarah D, Erin and Taylour continued firing shots at goal. Our players once again played an awesome game, showing respect to the officials, following the laws and honoring the game.
